* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel
conditions. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are
expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut and western
Massachusetts, including Hartford, Springfield and Orange.

* WHEN...Tonight into Wednesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow will overspread the region,
mainly this afternoon into this evening. The snow will become
heavy at times late tonight into Wednesday morning before
tapering off during the afternoon. Be prepared for hazardous
travel with snow covered roads. Only minor impact for the
evening commute today, but a significant impact is expected for
the Wednesday morning commute and the Wednesday evening commute
may be impacted as well.

southern Catskills.

Flood Warning

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM EST WEDNESDAY FOR
SOUTHWESTERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY...

At 306 PM EST, local law enforcement reported flooding continuing
along the Housatonic River at Kent due to an ice jam. Waters have
risen onto the Kent School campus and frozen in place, surrounding
the ice rink. Route 7 in Kent remains closed between Route 341 and
Bulls Bridge. Schaghticoke Road and River Road also remain closed.

Another ice jam along the Housatonic is occurring at Lovers Leap
near New Milford, with water backed up into Addis Park.

Flooding was also reported along the Shepaug River in the town of
Roxbury close to Hodge Park due to ice jams.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Albany has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
East central Schenectady County in east central New York...

* Until 900 AM EST Wednesday

* At 918 AM EST, water from an ice jam on the Mohawk River was
continuing to cause flooding in the Stockade district in
Schenectady, according to media reports. Flooding was occurring in
Riverside Park and between North Ferry Street and Ingersoll
Avenue. Ingersoll Avenue remains closed.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Schenectady, Scotia, Niskayuna, Hawthorne Hill, Bellevue and Hungry
Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Flood Warning for...
Central Warren County in east central New York...

* Until 1000 PM EST Tuesday

* At 903 AM EST, emergency management reported flooding along Route
418 between Thurman and Warrensburg, along River Road in Thurman
and along Warrensburg Stony Creek Road at the bottom of Cameron
Road. The flooding was due to an ice jam along the Hudson River.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Warrensburg, Thurman Station, and Athol.
