(NEWS10) – With a winter weather advisory posted ahead of Friday and a few inches of snow on the way, we could be seeing some travel delays.
Many people are getting a jump on their holiday travel plans but predicted snowfall and difficult driving conditions have some travelers concerned.
“Hopefully we won’t have to stay an extra night. Hopefully, we’ll be able to make it back. If it does happen to snow a lot we might have a planes trains and automobile trip back, you know?” Luke Hicks said.
Hicks was not the only traveler who is worried that despite the head start, Friday’s snow might still affect weekend travel plans.
“It’s very concerning, especially the older you get, the harder it is to drive. So we’re hoping that maybe passes by and we only get a couple inches or something,” Bob Buckley said.
One traveler says that even if his plans for the upcoming days were affected, he knows it will be okay in the end.
“I’d make the best of it that’s all you can do,” Shane Whitaker said.
Those who will reach their final destination are breathing a true sigh of relief.
“I am so happy. I bet I’m gonna be in my bed like watching the snow come down like “thank God I took the train today,” Lucas Benardete said.
