Local kids get lessons on adult life

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Some local kids are getting a life lesson on life by learning about the tasks and challenges adults face every day.

More than 30 volunteers from Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York spent a couple of days during the last week at North Albany Academy Elementary School.

About 300 students got a crash course on everything from organizing a bank account to running a business and even paying their taxes.

They also learned how cities and towns work.

Organizers say the goal is to get kids on a pathway to success from kindergarten to high school.
