SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The MOPCO Improv Theater is the Capital Region’s premier hub for improv and entertainment.
The MOPCO Improv Theatre was established in October 2016 on 10 N. Jay St. In Schenectady and is home to the Mop & Bucket Co., formerly the residential improv company at Proctors for nearly a decade; and voted the Capital Region’s best in comedy three years running.
The historic former firehouse underwent a total renovation and now offers classes, shows, and special events.
There is one coming up on Thursday called “Improv Jam” where the show is based on teaching the audience how to do improv, by making them a part of the show.
It’s a mixture of class, show and party; “Improv Jam” gives veteran improvisers and newcomers a chance to try out improv games and stretch their improv muscles.
It’s a great night to come and try out something new and to expand your range; you jump up and play in every game or sit back and enjoy the show. Your level of participation is up to you.
Tickets to the show are just $5.
