ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State has awarded $20 million to support Water Protection Projects on livestock farms.
The money will allow livestock farms to better manage and store nutrients to protect groundwater and nearby waterways.
Four counties in the Capital Region will be receiving a share of the $20 million.
Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington Counties are all eligible.
Washington County will be receiving the most money at just $1.5 million.
