4-year-old boy killed in crash in Kinderhook

KINDERHOOK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on Route 203 just west of Merwin Road in Kinderhook.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Laura Dalaudiere, 27, of Valatie, was traveling north when police say another vehicle, traveling south, operated by 56-year-old David Scott, struck her vehicle.

Dalaudiere and two girls, aged five and 11, were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. A 4-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scott was also taken to the hospital.

The State Police were assisted on scene by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Chatham Fire Department, Chatham Rescue, Valatie Rescue Squad, Valatie Fire Department, Ghent Fire Department, Columbia County Coroner’s Office, Columbia County EMS Coordinator, Columbia County Fire Coordinator, and Troop K Collision Reconstruction Unit.
