NY reducing the number of homeless veterans

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York is making progress in reducing the number of homeless veterans, including communities here in the Capital Region.

According to a report by the New York Comptrollers Office, the number of homeless veterans has dropped from around 5,700 to around 1,200 from 2011 to 2016.

Despite the progress, the state remains one of the highest states for homelessness.
