HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Three water main breaks took place in the Town of Halfmoon Wednesday afternoon.
The breaks took place around 3 p.m. on Guideboard Road and Route 236, Merry Hill Lane, and Route 9. Two breaks were repaired Wednesday night. The water system supervisor hopes crews will fix the break at Guideboard Road and Route 236 by Thursday morning.
The supervisor said crews were flushing hydrants, and he believes that – along with aging pipes – caused the breaks.
Hundreds of people were without water.
There is no boil water advisory in effect.
