City of Cohoes to enforce emergency parking for snow removal

COHOES, NY (NEWS10) – The City of Cohoes will be posting emergency “no parking” signs on designated streets for snow removal.

The parking restrictions will be in effect for Monday, March 20 from 7AM until 7PM. Emergency parking will be enforced on the following streets:

  • White Street
  • Howard Street
  • Ontario Street
  • Amity Street

Any vehicle in violation of the parking restrictions shall be subject to ticketing and towing. “No parking” signs will be posted on the affected streets.

Snow removal efforts are also under way in other area communities.

In Catskill, drivers will not be able to park along West Bridge Street from Division to West Main until 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.

In Schenectady, crews will be making their way around the city posting red signs in snow trouble spots. Officials say for the first 24 hours, crews will make every effort to contact the owner of the cars parked in the way of snow removal efforts. After 24 hours, the cars will be towed.
