Fonda man arrested after horses found in poor living conditions

FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Fonda man has been arrested after police received an anonymous complaint about horses living in poor conditions.

David Sahler, 54, was charged with Animal Cruelty.

Police said two horses did not have access to water because they were in manure that was so deep, they could not walk in it. In addition, the horses did not have water because it was frozen over and there was no effort to keep the water from freezing.

Sahler was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Mohawk Court at a later date.
