ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced that the alleged Crossgates mall shooter has been indicted on Thursday.
Tasheem Maeweather, 20, of Albany, was indicted on one count of second-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree attempted assault, one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of first-degree reckless endangerment.
According to the indictment, Maeweather is accused of possessing a loaded firearm and intended to cause the death of another individual inside the Crossgates Mall. The indictment also accuses Maeweather of recklessly engaging in conduct that created a grave risk of death of another individual.
Maeweather remains in custody at the Albany County Correctional Facility. He is scheduled to be arraigned on December 5.
