Missing boater found alive on island in Hudson River

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A man was taken to the hospital after being pulled from the Hudson River late Sunday night.

The Troy Police Department, Troy Fire Department, and the NYS Police Aviation Unit responded to locate the missing boater who had been fishing earlier in the afternoon.

Troy Police have identified the man as 69-year-old Roger Zalucky, of Troy.

The man was located alive on Center Island in the Hudson River shortly before midnight on Sunday.  Rescuers located the man’s empty boat earlier in the evening.

Further information on the boater’s condition is not known at this time. News10 ABC will continue to bring you the latest details.
