MILWAUKIE, Ore. (KOIN) – A man who allegedly confessed to killing a person in Milwaukie was arrested by the Washington State Patrol near the Oregon-Washington border on Sunday night.
WSP spokesperson Will Finn said troopers were called to the Ridgefield Port of Entry on northbound I-5 around 8:23 p.m. Sunday after a car rolled over the barrier and landed on its top.
The only occupant in the car was the driver, Gregory R. Siegberg. Finn said the 62-year-old man told troopers, “I just killed someone.”
Washington troopers contacted the proper Oregon authorities.
Siegberg, a resident of Milwaukie, is being held at the Clark County Jail for DUI and a felony homicide warrant from Clackamas County.
The name and age of the victim who was shot and killed Sunday has not been released.
Investigators were still on the scene at SE River Road and Torbank Road on Monday morning.
