HEALDSBURG, Calif. (ABC NEWS) – A man is accused of drowning his 4-year-old daughter in a baptismal pool at a church.
“We do believe she was drowned and that it was intentional,” Healdsburg Police Chief Kevin Burke said.
Police say 42-year-old Gerardo Ordaz showed up at the police station, naked crying for help, holding his unconscious daughter, with his son by their side.
“We are relying on the testimony of the older son and the suspect,” Chief Burke said.
The victim remains unidentified.
Neighbors say she was a sweet little girl.
The Santa Rosa Archdiocese and St. Johns Church had no comment.
