(NEWS10) — Sabra Dipping Company is voluntarily recalling some of its hummus and spreads due to a possible listeria contamination.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says the affected products were manufactured before Nov. 8 at a plant where listeria monocytogenes have been found.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal, infections in young children, elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, nausea, and diarrhea.

Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The company is issuing this recall out of an abundance of caution.

Consumers are urged to discard any product with a “Best Before” date up through Jan. 23, 2017. The date can be found on the lid of the package.

For a full list of affected products, visit the FDA’s website here.

No other Sabra products are affected. The products not included in the recall are: Sabra Organic Hummus, Sabra Salsa, Sabra Guacamole and Sabra Greek Yogurt Dips.
