Police investigate multiple car break-ins at Glens Falls YMCA

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police are investigating a rash of “smash and grab” thefts at the Glens Falls YMCA.

Police said two men were seen trying to get into cars in the parking lot between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Friday. They said people came out a short time later and discovered broken car windows and stolen purses.

Police said the witnesses got a license plate of the men acting suspiciously, but the plate was stolen and put on the car.

Investigators plan on reviewing surveillance video.
