SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two of the three people arrested in connection with last month’s devastating fire at the Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons field house in October pleaded not guilty to several misdemeanor charges in court Monday morning.
McDuffie and Riordan plead no guilty to the misdemeanor charges they face. Though both men face felony charges, felony please cannot be entered in City Court.
McDuffie is charged with felony arson, felony burglary, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and petit larceny. Riordan is facing all the same charges as McDuffie, but the arson charge.
Bail for Riordan was set at $50,000, and McDuffie is to be held without bail.
McDuffie and Riordan are both due back in court on Wednesday for preliminary hearings.
