TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The man who was caught on camera robbing a liquor store at gunpoint has been sentenced.
Anton Gumbs was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison on a first-degree robbery charge.
He was also ordered to spend 5 years under post-release supervision.
Gumbs was caught on surveillance camera walking into Demeo’s Liquor Store back on February 27th just before closing time.
He’s seen pulling a gun out, holding it to the store owner’s head and demanding money. He made off with around $6,000.
He was arrested by Troy Police on march 9th.
Gumbs is the same man who was sentenced last week for robbing the same Sunoco in Albany four times at gunpoint.
He pleaded guilty to robbery in the first degree in that case and was sentenced to 18 years in state prison, and 5-years post-release supervision.
