College students recovering after single-car crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (AP) – Two college students in Massachusetts are recovering after their car crashed into a utility pole.

Police say the crash happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday morning in Dartmouth. University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth students Mustafa Alkhatatbeh and Harrianne Errie were injured after Alkhatatbeh apparently crashed his Toyota Camry.

The two 19-year-old students were brought to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and were in stable condition, according to police.

No other vehicles appear to have been involved and it’s still not clear what caused the crash.
