(ABC NEWS) — Nearly two dozen veterans in Southern California now have their high school diplomas their educations had been interrupted by their military service in World War II, The Korean War and Vietnam.
Two of the men were honored posthumously.
A 95 year old World War II vet said the diploma makes him feel terrific and now he can go to college.
“It’s emotional. My heart rate right now is going probably fasten than I’ve ever had it go before,” he said. “What a blessing, or those of us whojust said the war was more important.”
