Albany tree lighting ceremony planned for December 4

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – In just a few weeks, the holiday trees that will light up the Empire Plaza and East Capitol Park will make their way to the capital.

The 45-foot Colorado blue spruce that will adorn the Empire Plaza was donated by the Bowman family in Hudson. The other 30-foot-tall spruce was donated by the Bober family in Albany.

The tree lighting celebration will be from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. on December 4th.

The actual lighting will be at 5:15 p.m. and the event will be capped with a fireworks display.
