QUEENSLAND, Australia (NEWS10) – A huntsman spider that was rescued last year in Queensland, Australia is going viral.

The Barnyard Betty’s Rescue, a sanctuary for orphaned, mistreated and unwanted farm animals, says they are not sure why the post is going viral.

Members at the rescue say the spider, named Charlotte, was released on the farm.

“She was a beautiful, calm spider, not aggressive in any way,” A Facebook post said. “Like most spiders she just wanted to go about her business eating bugs and living in peace.”

Last month, a Queensland man’s terrifying footage of a huntsman spider carrying mouse up a fridge went viral.
