SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local man will spend the next 13 years in prison for a home invasion in Charlton.

Michael Winchip, of Schenectady, was sentenced in Saratoga County court.

He pleaded guilty to burglary, robbery and grand larceny, among other charges.

This stems from an incident back in January when Winchip and two other co-defendants, broke into the home of a 72-year-old woman and forced her to sit on the couch with a sweater over her head while they robbed the place.
