WASHINGTON (NEWS10) – The moon on the night of Monday, November 14 will be the biggest in the sky in 70 years.
NASA says the full moon on November 14 will not only be the closest full moon of 2016 but also the closest moon to date in the 21st century.
In broad terms, according to NASA, the moon is considered a “supermoon” when the full moon is closer to Earth than average.
The full moon will not come this close until November 25, 2034.
The last time the moon was this large was in 1948.
