TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Several roads will be closed Tuesday near Russell Sage College in Troy during the filming of a new film from actor James Franco.

The series of road closures are due to a closed set for the new James Franco film “The Pretenders.”

  • Division Street from 1st Street to River Street will be closed to traffic with no parking allowed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Division Street from 2nd Street to 1st Street will be closed to traffic with no parking allowed from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • 1st Street from Congress Street to Liberty Street will be closed to traffic with no parking allowed from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Parking restrictions have been posted and will be strictly enforced. Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Drivers are asked to observe all posted traffic signs and seek alternative routes.

Details as far as what and where exactly filming will take place remain tightly under wraps.

Some Russell Sage students have already posted photos with Franco, after he was spotted on campus scouting locations a few weeks ago.

Russell Sage previously hosted the cast and crew of a low-budget feature film titled “Derailed” just last month, in which the lead character was written as a professor at the College.
