SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – On Halloween, one house in Saratoga Springs gave out more than just candy.
Trick-or-treaters across the Capital Region celebrated Halloween on Monday, and Michelle Riggi used the holiday to put on the biggest family party in the area.
“It’s awesome. I mean look at it,” she said. “It’s kind of like Disney World in Saratoga Springs.”
Thousands lined up on Broadway for the party. They waited for candy and to take pictures with princesses.
“It’s very special for us to give back to the community,” Riggi said. “That’s what we do.”
But there was more: food, music, and animals that were up for adoption thanks to a partnership with the Saratoga Animal Shelter. There was also a magician who performed tricks for kids.
Also at the party were custom candy bars where a few had Golden Tickets inside. Every 30 minutes, $100 was handed out to lucky winners.
There was something for everyone, and people walked away with a smile on their face.
