SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Halloween is just one day away, and now more than ever, people are looking out for things that go bump in the night.
For one unique group of women in Saratoga, chasing down the creepy and paranormal is all in a day’s work.
This is a real life ghost hunting team.
Did we find any? Well, take a look and judge for yourself.
Got a ghost problem? Who are you gonna call? No, not Ghostbusters.
Instead, these girls got your back.
“I thought, what a good idea to make an all-female paranormal research team,” said the organizer, Roxanne Rock. “You know, girls going out in the night, getting scared and stuff, and see what we can find. Kind of prove to everyone that girls can do this too.”
They call themselves the Saratoga Paranormal Research Team and they might be the best chance you got against the supernatural.
“I was always wondering if I’d ever see my mom again,” said a member, Missy. “She passed away when I was six.”
“It’s like a natural pull,” said Michelle, a member and psychic. “[It] tells me where to go.”
“I grew up in an old farm house,” said Rock. “I was terrified as a child. I become obsessed with trying to figure out what’s on the other side, what was the entity that tried to terrify me.”
Since 2010, they’ve gone into the creepiest places in the Capital Region, hunting for ghosts and searching for answers.
On Sunday, they took NEWS10 ABC’s Andrew Banas along for the journey through Greenridge Cemetery, using a special set of tools to try to make contact.
At one point, the supernatural presence was asked to turn off a light if they wanted to speak.
In just a couple seconds, the light went off.
After four hours, they had some truly spooky moments, and maybe, just maybe, contact from the great beyond.
