Vehicle crashes into, severs National Grid pole on Maple Avenue in Glenville; road closed

GLENVILLE, NY (NEWS10) – On Thursday, October 27, Glenville Police responded to a one vehicle property damage auto accident which severed a National Grid pole, knocking down another pole and placing live wires on the ground in the area of 81 Maple Avenue.

National Grid and Emergency crews were on scene working to fix the issue.

Maple Avenue is still closed from Ronald Reagan Way to Alplaus Avenue.

It is not estimated that National Grid will be able to fix the problem until 9:00am Friday morning.

The road closure is anticipated to continue into the morning commuter traffic time.

Glenville Police advises all traffic to seek alternate routes.

Limited power outages are reported from this incident.
