ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany Police are investigating reports of a robbery at 677 Prime Steakhouse in Albany Thursday morning.
Police say an employee at the high-end restaurant reported that a black man, about six-feet tall wearing a green sweatshirt, came into the restaurant armed with a handgun and demanded cash around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The employee complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money before reporting the robbery to the police.
Later Monday morning, Albany Police were on scene taking statements from witnesses and searching the area with a K9 unit.
Police say the restaurant was not yet open for business when the robbery occurred.
