4 school buses struck by projectile while leaving Connecticut high school, 2 students injured

MADISON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two students suffered minor injuries after a projectile from a BB gun was fired at several school buses Friday, according to Madison’s Superintendent of Schools.

Superintendent Thomas Scarice tells News 8 that the incident happened as the buses were leaving the grounds of Daniel Hand High School. One school bus window was damaged.

The students who were on those buses were transported home on another bus. The two injured students did not require medical attention.

The investigation is now in the hands of the Madison Police Department. Police say they don’t know if someone was standing in the woods or shooting from a moving vehicle, but they’re taking it very seriously.

Anyone with information is asked to call Madison Police at (203) 245-2721.
