BOSTON, Mass. (NEWS10) — Vice President Joe Biden is speaking out about the fight against cancer.

He’s scheduled to speak in Boston on Wednesday about the ‘Cancer Moonshot’ Initiative at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate.

The initiative combines over a dozen federal departments and agencies to double the rate of progress in cancer reach and treatment.

It’s a cause personal to the vice president, as he lost his son to cancer last year.
