ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – A 26-year-old Albany man has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened Saturday morning.
Shamsideem Hardy was arrested following an investigation by the Albany Police Department.
Around 1:30am, officers responded to the 400 block of Clinton Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who had been shot twice in the torso.
The victim, 24, was treated at the scene by medical personnel and taken to Albany Med with non-life threatening injuries.
Hardy, who is known to the victim, was taken into custody shortly after the call. A .380 caliber handgun was also recovered by officers.
Hardy has been charged with Attempted Murder 2nd, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st and Reckless Endangerment 1st.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
