ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – After several weeks and a lot of construction one Albany road is finally back open.
South Lake Avenue was closed to thru traffic after a massive sinkhole opened up back in August.
Traffic is flowing smoothly, but there is still some cleaning up to do. A notice says drivers will not be able to park in this area until next Friday.
In early August, a water main break triggering a massive sinkhole that needed up swallowing an SUV.
The City of Albany announced Friday that after two months the repairs are complete and the roadway can resume normal use.
