SCHODACK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – State police say a man was arrested Saturday after being accused of strangling his girlfriend.
Police say they received a complaint in the Village of Nassau from a concerned neighbor about a young woman with injuries to her face and blood stains on her shirt.
After investigating, police say an 18-year-old female had been involved in a physical altercation with her 21-year-old boyfriend, William Martin III, from East Greenbush.
During the altercation, Martin allegedly choked the female, causing injuries to her face and neck.
Martin was charged with strangulation and assault. He was arraigned and released to reappear back in court.
