Police: Man accused of breaking supermarket door, arrested

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — State police in Brunswick say they arrested a man who’s accused of breaking a supermarket door on Wednesday.

David Medlin Jr., 30, became reportedly upset when Shop N Save market employees would not cash a check for him.

Police say as he was leaving the store, he slammed the exit door. As a result, the glass broke and the door was knocked off the hinges.

Medlin was found walking on State Route 40 and taken into custody. Police say he was also found with a small amount of marijuana.

Medlin was charged with criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with appearance tickets.
