Police: Tail lamp violation leads to arrest of two individuals for possessing drugs and weapon

COBLESKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Wednesday, State Police pulled a vehicle over for a tail lamp violation, but the stop led to the arrest of two individuals for possessing drugs and a weapon.

Police say a search exposed nearly 40 grams of marijuana, several marijuana pipes, 1.3 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, an electronic stun gun, two police style Billy clubs, and two sets of Chucka sticks.

George Anderson III, 41, of Grafton, New Hampshire, was charged for the criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Amanda Lovell, 56, of Port Henry, N.Y., reportedly attempted to flee the scene and was taken into custody for resisting arrest, and criminal possession of marijuana.

They were both arraigned and remanded to Schoharie County Jail where they are scheduled to appear in the Town of Richmondville.
