Police: Rachael Mattice arrested for possessing drugs following head-on crash

MILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police arrested Rachael Mattice for possessing drugs following a head-on crash on Middle Grove Road in Milton.

The crash happened on Wednesday at around 12 p.m.

Police say Rachael Mattice, 24, of Johnstown, N.Y., had Vallium, Oxycontin, and Xanax that was not prescribed to her in her possession.

She was charged with 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside its original container, failure to keep right, and moving from lane unsafely.

Police say the injuries as the result of the crash are not serious.

She is due in court next week.

Mattice is accused of lying about being abducted from her family’s campsite in Wells as well as being held against her will and raped by an older man. Police say she was also under investigation for stealing prescription drugs while working at the Hamilton County Public Nursing Service as a home health aide.
