Man arrested in Hawaii for allegedly impersonating an officer

Maui police have arrested a man accused of impersonating a police officer.

Chad Reardon, 44, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Wailuku.

He was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer in the second degree and resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle in the second degree.

His bail was set at $20,000.

Police issued an alert Tuesday after a woman said a car with flashing blue-and-white lights tried to pull her over.

She called police, and the car took off when an officer arrived.
