HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Bennington man is facing charges after police found marijuana and a large sum of money in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Hoosick Falls police stopped a vehicle on Saratoga Street for vehicle and traffic violations. A K-9 and his handler detected an odor of marijuana and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
Police found over $117,500 cash that was mostly in $100 and $20 bills.
The driver, 20-year-old Justin Morse, was charged with vehicle and traffic violations as well as possession of marijuana. Further charges are pending.
Hoosick Falls police are now being assisted by New York State Police, Vermont State Police and the Bennington Police Department.
