ISTANBUL (AP) – A senior official in Turkey says at least 10 people have been hurt in a bomb explosion near a police station in Istanbul.

The bomb had been placed on a motorcycle. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, which could be heard from the city’s nearby Ataturk Airport.

The governor for Istanbul says none of the injured is in serious condition.

Turkey has been rocked by a wave of bomb attacks in the past year that have killed hundreds of people and been blamed on Kurdish rebels or Islamic State group militants.
