GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police continue to investigate an assault that took place in Gloversville Tuesday afternoon.
Gloversville police were called to a reported stabbing in front of city hall shortly after noon Tuesday. Responding officers encountered two groups of people who were engaged in a verbal altercation outside the police department.
One male was immediately taken into custody for his role in the incident, police said. A short time later, police found a male suffering from a visible injury. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Another male was taken into custody for interfering with responding officers.
Names and charges will be released by police at a later time.
