Albany man charged with attempted murder after firing modified flare gun at victims

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Albany Police arrested a man they say fired a modified flare gun at two victims during a domestic incident on Mohawk Street.

Police say Jah-Juan Davis, 26, fired the flare gun, which was modified into a .22 caliber pistol, at two female victims.

Neither was injured during the incident.

Police say Davis was taken into custody away from the scene.

Davis was charged with two counts of 2nd degree attempted murder and one count of 1st degree criminal use of a firearm, and 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned and remanded to Albany County Jail.
