HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Hoosick Falls High School field hockey team honored its coach after she won her 300th career game.
Before Wednesday’s game, the Panthers surprised head coach Denise Campbell with a commemorative shirt and game ball. While Campbell was flattered by her team’s gesture, she said she wasn’t caught completely off guard by the ceremony.
“There was a phone number left on my machine last night, and I was, like, ‘Ok?’” she said. “Then, this morning, somebody said congratulations. I knew something was probably up, and then I saw my mother walking up, and yeah!”
