ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Water restrictions have been lifted for people living in Albany after a water main break caused by massive sinkhole.
Work is continuing on that massive sinkhole on the corner of South Lake Avenue and Elberon Place.
The sinkhole has been filled and the water main that created this mess in the first place has finally been fixed.
Water restrictions have been lifted and residents can finally go back to full water use.
The work on the sinkhole is not over as there is still heavy machinery in the area, still random openings in the road.
Street surfaces, sidewalks, and curbs still need to be repaired.
Major repairs have been completed but it will still take another two weeks until South Lake and Elberon place are back to normal.
