Pittsfield looking for official holiday tree

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) – Pittsfield officials are looking for this year’s holiday tree for Park Square.

According to officials, criteria used to select the tree include a minimum height of approximately 30 feet, superior shape, ease of access to the tree for cutting, adequate room to cut down the tree, and ease of transport.

Screening and selection of trees will take place during the week of October 31. Cutting and installation of the tree at Park Square will be scheduled shortly after the selection.
