Man accused of stealing $65,000 in funeral home scheme sentenced

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – The man accused of stealing about $65,000 in a funeral home scheme with former Watervliet Police Chief Mark Fiet was sentenced to two to six years plus restitution.

Sam Catalano pleaded guilty to stealing from people seeking memorial services while working for the Parker Brothers Funeral home.

Fiet will spend the next six months in prison. A judge took his age and health into consideration when sentencing him.
