Man involved in funeral home embezzlement scheme scheduled to be sentenced

WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Thursday, the second man involved in a funeral home embezzlement scheme, will be sentenced.

Sam Catalano Jr. pleaded guilty to grand larceny and criminal tax fraud for his role in stealing money from the Parker Brothers Memorial Funeral Home.

Catalano faces two to six years behind bars.

Co-defendant and former Watervliet Police Chief Mark Fiet was already sentenced to six months in Albany County Jail.
