Fulton Co. Sheriff Deputy accused of stealing, selling guns

FULTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy is now charged with grand larceny.

State Police say 45-year-old Richard Christiano took two handguns into his possession while working at ‘The Gun Store’ in Perth for safekeeping, and sold the handguns without the owner’s permission in 2013 in Fulton and Montgomery counties.

Christiano, an off-duty Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy, was issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Glen and the Village of Broadalbin Courts.

The weapons have been recovered and the investigation is still underway.
