CAIRO, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police say a man is being accused of strangling a woman while she was holding her 1-month-old baby.
Authorities say on September 20 police arrested 47-year-old Danny Ray Hatfield of Cairo for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Menacing and Harassment in the second degree.
Officials say the arrest was the result of an investigation into a domestic dispute at a home in the Town of Cairo that involved Hatfield.
During the domestic dispute, it is alleged that he grabbed the victim’s neck, obstructing her breathing, while the victim was holding a 1-month-old baby.
He was arraigned in the Town of Cairo Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail on $500 Cash Bail or $1,000 Bond.
