Lauren Linder is a reporter for News10 ABC. She’s no stranger to New York, being from the Tri-State area in Connecticut.
Before coming to Albany, she worked as a multimedia journalist, producer and fill-in anchor at WSAW-TV and WZAW-TV in Wausau, WI.
There Lauren reported on stories of national interest including the Antigo High School prom shooting and the investigation into the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center over overprescribing practices and retaliatory behavior. She also covered 2016 presidential rallies, officer-involved shootings, multiple death investigations and trials, as well as severe winter weather in below-zero temperatures.
Lauren graduated from the Indiana University School of Journalism, specializing in broadcast journalism. During her time at IU, she had the thrill of interning for the news departments at WCBS-TV in New York, NY and WBNS-TV (10TV) in Columbus, OH. Lauren also reported for the PBS/NPR station in Bloomington, IN, WTIU/WFIU, and worked for more than three years as a multimedia journalist and anchor at IU’s student-run station, IUSTV.
She has always been fascinated by the news and has felt a constant urge to be informed. She has a keen interest in meeting and talking to new people, and loves delivering stories that are important and relevant to the community.
When she’s not reporting, she enjoys theater, film, music, and staying active and cultured by exploring and traveling to new places.
If you have any story ideas or suggestions, she would love to hear from you! You can shoot her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or reach out to her on Facebook or Twitter.
